My dear Venice is a small collection of 5 outfits inspired by my hometown Venice. Throughout this project I had the opportunity to talk, meet, and see the work of the glass masters in the island of Murano. This led me to focus on one of my favourite Murano glass artists: Fulvio Bianconi. His work is defined by playful silhouettes, bright colors and incredible textures. Translating glass into textile can be very tricky as it is something transparent, fragile and solid at the same time. All striped fabrics were selfmade by attaching one by one all the stripes of different fabrics and colors. I had the great opportunity to collaborate with PAGAN MURRINE in the design and creation of unique glass pieces ( buckles) using the original technique of the murrina glass. Combining colors, materials and texture has never been so much fun. An immense thank you to PAGAN MURRINE for the beautiful collaboration.

This is "Nenè", the fabric I designed that was produced by DEDAR for Molteni&C.,in the occasion of "A new italian textile story" organized by Elle Decor Italia. Elle Decor selected 4 designers and asked them to interpret the iconic chair D.270.2, designed by architect Gio Ponti in the 70’s and currently produced by Molteni&C. A perfect bridge between fashion and interior design, Nenè was born from an immersion between the lines and geometries of Gio Ponti and the elegant decorations of the venetian artist Vittorio Zecchin. A delicate illustration is trapped in a more rational grid, a playful repetition of silhouettes and faces. What was striking about this experience was the different approach the designer and the company had towards the figure of the intern. We are used to be very much left on the side and execute minor tasks. This time was definitely different. From the first day I was activly involved in major projects, I have always been asked for an opinion and developed my own critic sensibility. I was asked to talk in first person to collaborators, partecipated to all meetings and travelled around India for working purpose. I can say I lived the time of my life, I challenged myself everyday, I became part of the company, part of a family and got to intimately know the indian fashion industry. I had the chance to meet interesting people and made useful contacts for my future. I handeled entire projects with full responsability often with a decision-making authority. I was encharged of social media and comunication aswell as design and project coordination. I had to represent the brand for major events in Mumbai and New Delhi. A story that jumps out of an old family album. It tells the story of my grandfather, a great man, a husband, a father and a respected pilot in the Air Force. But the collection doesn't show his point of view, instead the collection is seen from the eyes of the special woman who lived next to him all his life. A beautiful woman, always elegant and flawless. Is through my Grandmother's beautiful blue eyes that I want to tell his story. Showing a more fragile and human world which very often was hidden behind a uniform. Studying the details of the uniforms of my Grandpa and the style of my Grandma I sketched, illustrated and realized a small collection characterized by a mix of feminine silhouettes and military details. Through this collection I also managed to recycle some original blankets of the Aviation that my Grandpa used during his flights. This created a even more emotional link between me and the collection.

A dress and a top inspired by Patricia Urquiola's beautiful Antibodi chair. A sustainable technique was adopted during the creation of the garments which allowed me to use the fabric in the most clever way avoiding any waste.
